Thank you all so much for your continued help. I have been updating Shamar as we receive donations.

I wish I had better news to share here. Shamar has been sentenced to four years in prison. With a combination of programs, he may be released by next summer.

Because of this change in situation, Shamar wanted to provide an update on what the funds will be used for. Much of it will go towards college courses that he can take while in prison, which will not only further his education, but may also reduce his time in prison through educational inventives. It will also help put him in a position to start paying the $1.5 million restitution order that has been finalized.
